The German Society for mammalian biology edits Mammalian Biology (formerly Zeitschrift für Säugetierkunde), one of the world's leading journals in mammalogical research.
Its scope covers all aspects of mammalian biology, such as anatomy, morphology, palaeontology, taxonomy, systematics, molecular biology, physiology, neurobiology, ethology, genetics,
reproduction, development, evolutionary biology, domestication, ecology, wildlife biology and diseases, conservation biology, and the biology of zoo mammals.
Information on the submission process, a catalogue of volumes and issues and contact details can be found on the journal's homepage.
A gallery of past cover photos from Mammalian Biology can be viewed here. For each new issue, published every second month, authors can submit photos of their study species out of which the new journal cover photo will be chosen.
